Expansion is a chain of decisions
Entering a market involves demand, distribution, regulation, sourcing and financing. These decisions interact; a promising market does not automatically create a workable business.
Map the route to the customer
Trace where goods are made, who imports them, where inventory is held and how payment is collected. Each handoff introduces cost, time and responsibility.
Follow working capital
Procurement may require payment before delivery, while customers may pay later. Shipping, customs and inventory extend the cash cycle. Financing is therefore part of the trade model.
A practical research checklist
- Define the customer and the route to market.
- Identify product and import requirements.
- Estimate the cash cycle using documented assumptions.
- Compare logistics, currency and counterparty exposure.
This is an initial research framework, not a verified commercial opportunity or a forecast.
